Job description
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Junior Jewelry Designer to join our dynamic design team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing technical packs for our collections, managing supplier communication, and supporting the creation and refinement of both new and existing product lines. This role requires creativity, a strong sense of current fashion and jewelry trends, solid knowledge of materials and production processes, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support:
Prepare accurate technical drawings and detailed specifications for manufacturing.
Collaborate closely with suppliers to ensure design feasibility, cost efficiency, and adherence to quality standards.
Assist in the selection and sourcing of materials, stones, and other key components.
Project Management:
Manage multiple design and development projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and milestones are met.
Maintain clear and efficient communication between the design team and suppliers.
Keep organized records of technical packs, design files, materials, and project timelines.
Collaboration:
Work alongside designers, marketing, and procurement teams to align creative concepts with brand and business objectives.
Actively participate in team meetings, sharing ideas and insights to improve product development and innovation.
Trend Analysis:
Research market and consumer trends, competitor products, and emerging materials or techniques.
Present findings and recommendations to guide design direction and strategic planning.
Design Development:
Support the design team in developing original jewelry, from ideation to final product.
Produce high-quality sketches, illustrations, and mock-ups to communicate design ideas.
Contribute to the development of mood boards, design presentations, and seasonal collection overviews.
Job requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Jewelry Design, Fashion Design, or a related field.
2–3 years of professional experience in jewelry design.
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign (Knowledge of CAD software and Procreate is a plus but not required.)
Strong freehand sketching and illustration abilities.
Solid understanding of jewelry manufacturing processes, materials, and techniques.
Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Proficiency in spoken and written English.
A portfolio demonstrating creative and technical design skills in jewelry.
